Alert dissemination refers to the process of transmitting and distributing an alert or critical situation to all relevant stakeholders.
This alert dissemination is essential to ensure a rapid and coordinated response in the event of an emergency, crisis, or high-risk situation.
Here’s how the alert dissemination process works with our SecurIT solution:
The alert is triggered following a specific event: a break-in, fire, accident, medical incident, assault, serious act of disorderly conduct, or any other emergency situation.
This alert can be triggered manually by a user (fixed DM, mobile Athena+ beacon) or automatically via the Athena+ beacon.
SecurIT adapts to the alert scenario; once the alert is triggered, our system activates a predefined alert scenario. This scenario is designed to orchestrate the response to the alert based on the type of situation, which includes a sequence of specific actions to be taken.
The alert scenario begins to disseminate relevant information to all stakeholders, including:
- text messages (SMS),
- phone calls,
- push notifications,
- emails,
- Visual and audible alerts on connected devices: Hestia+ sirens: flashing lights and audible alerts (customizable based on the type of alert). Hermès+ remote display: Customized alert message based on the type of alert.
Contact lists are categorized, enabling targeted alert distribution:
Each list contains specific individuals or entities to be notified in the event of an alert.
- "Internal" list: This includes people present at the site where the alert was triggered, such as teachers, school staff, lone workers, etc.
- "External" List: This list includes individuals or departments that need to be notified for informational purposes but are not on-site. These may include technical departments, area managers, etc.
- "Emergency Response" list: This list includes emergency response teams, such as the Security Command Center or law enforcement agencies, that will be involved in handling the alert.
Contact lists are categorized, enabling targeted outreach:
At the same time, automated actions can be triggered, such as activating on-site alarms, notifying neighboring sites, and providing remote assistance, among others. These actions are designed to enhance safety and guide those involved on the steps to take.
The SecurIT system is capable of adapting in real time to changing circumstances.
For example, our solution allows you to tailor the messages sent to the situation across all connected devices in the range (Athena+ beacon, Hestia+ siren, Hermès remote display). A concrete example of this adaptability is the Hermès remote display showing the message “Do not go outside” in response to a critical situation. However, as soon as the situation improves, the message on the Hermès screen can be changed to “You may exit safely.” This flexibility in communication ensures a precise response tailored to the changing needs of the situation.
In summary, alert dissemination with SecurIT aims to quickly and effectively inform all stakeholders affected by a critical situation. It enables effective coordination of actions, customized responses based on the alert scenario, and automation for an ultra-fast response.
